Mommy Moments - Playing Time

mommy moments

For this week's theme, it's playing time for our little kiddos - one of the favorite things that they love doing. With my Baby Gaby, well she's not really into toys, like Barbie dolls and stuff. She's more of the techie one. hehe :) She just loves to grab the PSP once she sees her Ate playing with it, the nunchuck for the Nintendo Wii, or the cellphone. I don't know why Baby Gab is very much into gadgets, perhaps she saw that in her dad.

But anyway, when Daddy was here, they were able to spend a really quality playing time together. Let me show you their pictures when we went to Megamall's World's of Fun last January.

I just love watching my big boy and my little girl play together. Soon, we'll have our little boy joinin' in. 'Til next Friday for more Mommy Moments.

Suddenly Missed Daddy

The faint cry of the baby in between asking for "dede" (milk) woke me up around 2AM this morning. After giving her one, I tried to get back to sleep but failed. So, what I did was I checked my laptop to see if Daddy was still sleeping. (Yeah, we leave our webcams open as we sleep, so it's as if Daddy is just here beside us.) Indeed, he was and even if I wanted to wake up him up, just like what I did when he was here, I chose not to. He has to go to work in the morning, so it's better not to bother him.

But after looking at Daddy in webcam, I suddenly missed him so much that I couldn't help but wish he's really beside me. It's been three months since he left, and even if we see and chat everyday thru Skype, still it's very much different when he's here. I miss Daddy's hugs, kisses, jokes, and even his irritating ways and remarks. I thought I'll get used to not being with him in just months time. But sadly, no.

Oh I miss you so much Dad!

He's Leavin'

Tomorrow...At 12:40pm...So sad to think that his vacation is over. After 64 days of being with us, again he's leavin'. And he's not coming back, not in the next year and a half, around October of 2010. :(

By that time, a lot of things have already happened: I've given birth to another baby in between, we've already moved in to our new home in Cavite, the baby in between celebrated another birthday, and perhaps passed more trials than ever.

The baby in between and I will sure miss Daddy. We've been used to seeing him around, eating with him, laughing and watching movies with him, and just feeling him beside us. Baby Gaby may be only a year and 4 months old, but I'm sure she'll also wonder beginning tomorrow why Daddy isn't around. I hate the thought of her going to and fro the door, waiting for Daddy to come home. ( Darn, just the thought of it makes me cry while writing this post now.)

The 64 days that Daddy spend with us is the longest we've been together in person so far. That may be so short for some, but for us, the vacation is all worth it. We love the feeling that Daddy is here to look after us, to take care of us. It's so different when he's here, it feels as if we are so secured.

But tomorrow, the sad reality strikes - HE'S LEAVIN' and I can do nothing to stop him. Anyway, this is what a Pamilyang OFW is about - to sacrifice for the family's future. To endure the pain of not being together, to be contented of Internet and phone communications, to wait, and to cherish every moment when there's a chance to be together.

A Night to Remember

Last night, Daddy and I had so much fun. Although we weren't able to watch movie as planned, the night went well and I must admit, we went home with big smiles :D on our faces.

First-off, we headed to SM Megamall to have dinner at Kenny Rogers. But before we reached the place, Daddy's attention was caught by really cool remote control cars being played by SM salesmen. He was amazed to see a dancing toy car, and so he tried playing it himself. I thought he'll buy one. But, when I saw how pricey it was, I panicked. The cost of it is tantamount to the budget I allotted for the baby in between's baptism souvenirs. Good thing, Daddy's mind changed and so off we went to Kenny Rogers.

At Kenny's, Daddy ordered a really luscious meal - the Super Solo Chicken and Rib Plate, while I settled on a combo meal of crispy chicken, rice, and iced tea.

While having our dinner, we discussed some things like how we'll go about the improvements that we want for our new house in Cavite, our expenses, Baby Gaby's baptism on Feb. 7th, our Jakarta vacation on March, and our plan to move in before he leaves for South Korea. But of course, the usual jokes and funny stories were also shared so that made our dinner not only luscious but also fun. I also took pictures of us as remembrance of such special night.

(Picture picture Dad! Weeee!)

(Mommy, sigurado ka kaya mong ubusin yan?)

(Dad, awat na pls! ayos na ang buto-buto! Lols)

Buurrpp. Excuse me. Hahaha. LOLs. That was a really superb meal. And you could just imagine how full we were when we left Kenny's. Our next stop: SECRET. Hahaha. We were like boyfriend and girlfriend last night, as if we're new lovebirds taking our relationship to the next level. Hehehe. I don't want to share further about that though. I'm sure you do know how to read between the lines. "wink"

Truly last night was a night to remember...

I Love the Feeling

Of what? Of knowing that someone is waiting for me outside the office after office hours. It feels as if I'm back in my high school and college days when a suitor or a boyfriend waits for me at the end of my last subject and then we go strolling at the mall or simply eat out before we go home. Only this time, it's my husband who's waiting for me and not just a mere suitor or boyfriend.

Papa Ghie has been here with us for 13 days now. And during these days, I could really feel that indeed our relationship is far beyond the Internet. He makes up for those times when we are not together. He sees to it that we get to spend most of his vacation days together, instead of him just going out with friends and relatives. Wherever he goes, he wants me to be with him.

But beyond companionship, he wants me to feel that I have not just a friend and husband in him, but also a partner. He cooks for me, massages my feet, goes to the market for me, babysits our little girl, and last but definitely not the least, he fetches me at the office. Yes, I so love the feeling - the feeling of being loved and cared for, of being pampered, and of being treated not just a mere virtual wife.

Oh how I wish this feeling would last! But I know, for sure, this won't, or perhaps would but again back on the Internet days. It'll be 7 days more before his vacation ends. So short, yet so memorable.

Now, we'll just have to make the most out of these 7 days, together, as husband and wife, with our cute 1-year-older baby in between.

He's Coming Home

Yes, he's coming home soon. Who am I talking about? It's no other than the baby in between's dad - Papa Ghie. Indeed, he will be arriving on the 31st of October, and so Baby Gaby and I are anxious to meet him at the airport.

This would be the first time that Ghie and I will be together after 1 year and 8 months of being miles away. The last time he was here was last February 2007, and so I'm wondering what has changed in him and how I would I react when I first see him at the airport.

A lot of good and bad things have happened between us since last year, so I could not really tell if things will ever be the same for us once we see each other again. I don't know if he's still the same Ghie that I have loved way back, or if I'm still the same Phoebe who's willing to sacrifice all for the sake of having a complete family.

There's really a lot of things for me to think about before he comes home at the end of this month. By the time he's here, I should already have the answers to all those questions which have been bugging me for months now.

Anyway, I still have 22 days left to ponder on things. For now, I'd better get back to work and finish some tasks.

A Gift FROM Hubby

A few weeks ago, my hubby surprised me with a wonderful gift - a SONY PSP. He showed it to me in webcam, and really I wasn't expecting that he'd give me one since all this time, I only wanted to have an MP3 Player. It was a cute pink Sony PSP with 8GB memory. As in WOW! I can store lotsa movies, games, and music in that. Actually, he already did, and he had so much fun playing the Tomb Raider game.

But then, his PSP days are over. Now it's my turn. Why? Because yesterday, I already got it! Yup. Yup. Yup. He already sent it to me, through a friend of his who came home to the Philippines last Thursday. But since I was busy last Friday and Saturday, I just got hold of it yesterday, with Dex and Owen as my companions going to the place. And know what, when I saw it, I couldn't help but admire the oh-so-cute pink color of the gadget. I so love pink, and all in all, I love the Sony PSP that hubby gave me.

Thank you so much Papa Ghie for this wonderful gift. Now, I'll be bored no more since with this gadget, music, movies, and games are stored in one. Thanks, thanks, thanks. Now, I can't wait to tell everyone about this, so here let me share some pictures:

Happy Birthday, PAPA GHIE!

Today is the birthday of the baby in between's papa. He's still away from us, so we just celebrated it with him there inside his room in Korea, and us here in our small place "feasting" on this little "salu-salo" that I prepared.

I could not think of a more special gift to give him, so I just decided to buy this small cake for him, with its candle blown by his daughter after we sung Happy Birthday.

You know, during occasion's like this, I could not help but feel sad because our celebration would be a lot happier if we are together. During my birthday last March, me and my friends were celebrating here inside the house, while he watched us in webcam; same thing when his daughter celebrates her monthly birthday.

It's really sad that we can't be together yet during these important occasions of our lives. But I know, this won't be forever. He will come home to see us, and hopefully he'll spend time with us especially on special days such as this.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PAPA GHIE! BABY GABY LOVES YOU SO MUCH!
