A Night to Remember

Last night, Daddy and I had so much fun. Although we weren't able to watch movie as planned, the night went well and I must admit, we went home with big smiles :D on our faces.

First-off, we headed to SM Megamall to have dinner at Kenny Rogers. But before we reached the place, Daddy's attention was caught by really cool remote control cars being played by SM salesmen. He was amazed to see a dancing toy car, and so he tried playing it himself. I thought he'll buy one. But, when I saw how pricey it was, I panicked. The cost of it is tantamount to the budget I allotted for the baby in between's baptism souvenirs. Good thing, Daddy's mind changed and so off we went to Kenny Rogers.

At Kenny's, Daddy ordered a really luscious meal - the Super Solo Chicken and Rib Plate, while I settled on a combo meal of crispy chicken, rice, and iced tea.

While having our dinner, we discussed some things like how we'll go about the improvements that we want for our new house in Cavite, our expenses, Baby Gaby's baptism on Feb. 7th, our Jakarta vacation on March, and our plan to move in before he leaves for South Korea. But of course, the usual jokes and funny stories were also shared so that made our dinner not only luscious but also fun. I also took pictures of us as remembrance of such special night.

(Picture picture Dad! Weeee!)

(Mommy, sigurado ka kaya mong ubusin yan?)

(Dad, awat na pls! ayos na ang buto-buto! Lols)

Buurrpp. Excuse me. Hahaha. LOLs. That was a really superb meal. And you could just imagine how full we were when we left Kenny's. Our next stop: SECRET. Hahaha. We were like boyfriend and girlfriend last night, as if we're new lovebirds taking our relationship to the next level. Hehehe. I don't want to share further about that though. I'm sure you do know how to read between the lines. "wink"

Truly last night was a night to remember...

Mommy's and Daddy's Night Out

Ever since Daddy arrived last January 15th, we never got the chance to spend the night out together. It was either his parents were around or the nanny and the baby in between were with us. So, last Tuesday, we talked about allotting one night for us to be alone. And since today is payday for me, I told him a while ago that tonight is the night! Weeee!!! His eyes beamed and his face lit up in an instant. I don't need to ask, I could already sense what he wants. LOLs.

So, what's in store for us tonight? Well, this morning, we were talking about going to the movies first after he fetches me from work. Not bad, since we haven't watched movie together ever since we met. (Yeah, that's true!) Second, we could have a luscious dinner over there at Kenny Roger's. Daddy has been eyeing their roasted chicken for quite some time now. And so, okay I'll grant his wish and have that stomach filled before we head on to our next destination. Hmmm...I wonder where will that be. Think...Think...Think...Maybe this image can help...

Hmmm...What gift? Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

Close to Movin' In!

Yesterday, I received a good news from the agent of the house and lot sold to us last year. According to her, our loan was already approved by Pag-ibig and the loan take-out was released since Monday. I felt really excited upon reading her message because I've been long waiting to inspect the house that Daddy and I bought. We wanted so much to move in before he heads back to Korea on March, so we must inspect immediately prior to the turnover of the unit.

So, a while ago, Daddy and I went to the developer's office to get the Certificate of Inspection. It was a 2-hour wait, but it was worth it when Daddy already got hold of the Certificate and the forms for Meralco and Maynilad application. He was also told that on Monday 11:00 AM, we must be at the unit to inspect everything that has to be repaired. We're both thrilled and we can hardly wait for Monday to come.

Oh yes, we're so close to movin' in! At last, all the efforts are starting to pay off. I could still remember last year when I was under so much pressure just to find the affordable house and lot that we can buy - plus the preparation of the documents, the submission of requirements, and the budgeting of money so as to accommodate the downpayment. Whew! We're close now! Really close.

Thank you Lord for this really wonderful blessing. At least now, we're starting to see the fruit of our labor. And hopefully, a start of a truly lasting relationship.

A Cool New Widget for The Baby in Between

While looking at this blog for a couple of minutes, I realized that it's been so long since I last made changes on its template. I remembered back then when I kept adding widgets on the sidebars just to make it look more appealing to online readers. But since I got a little busy these past months, I didn’t find the time to make some changes, and felt somewhat contented on how this blog looks.

But after knowing about this new widget that I can very much use on this blog and other social networking sites like Facebook and MySpace, I told myself why not try it. It’s called The Amy Poehler CozmoTV widget - a really cool widget for a woman blog like this one. I found it so entertaining and informative because it features interviews, dance routines, and other expressive art. And wait until you see those extraordinary girls showing off their talents and skills in the show? I’m sure you’ll be amazed and will find it entertaining and informative too, so here let me share it to you:

The Amy Poehler CozmoTV widget will really make a cool addition to this family blog. My readers will sure be thrilled to find something new here.

But hey, you can always take advantage of this too! Why don’t you get your own widget here and start sharing it to your readers?

Busy Preparing for The Baby in Between's Baptism

Huh? Baby Gab is not yet baptized!

I know, most of you will say the same statement. Her scheduled baptism will only happen on the 7th of February, which is rather surprising to those who have known that the baby in between already turned one last November 4th. Supposedly, it was a birthday and baptism celebration in one. But since we lacked the time to change her surname last November, we decided to put it off for January or February.

So, what am I busy preparing for? Well, the usual stuff - invitation, souvenirs, her baptism dress, church venue, reception, food, and a lot more. I haven't also finalized the names of who the godmothers and godfathers will be, since most of my and Ghie's friends won't be around during the celebration.

Oh boy, it's just a week away, but I haven't settled everything yet! Hopefully, when we get home next week, I'll get everything done without so much fuss.

The Nintento Wii: Our New Toy

Yesterday, Daddy and I were supposed to buy a DVD player, so we can watch movies at home. But well, as fickle-minded as he was, Daddy changed his mind and chose to get a new toy instead.

At first, he wanted the Sony Playstation 3. Actually, he's been asking me for this since last year. But after he tried the tennis game included in Wii Sports, he again changed his mind and decided to get the Nintendo Wii. Of course, I won't allow him to make that big purchase without trying it myself. So, I tried it, and guess what? In an instant, I fell in love with the Wii.

The Nintendo Wii is one of the hottest gaming consoles in the world today. I've learned about this way back in 2007 but it never really caught my interest until I saw it being featured in Umagang Kay Ganda, a local morning show here in the Philippines. The show featured it as the latest exercising tool today. Without going to the gym or doing extraneous workouts, this Wii allows everyone to exercise at the comfort of their homes. Exactly what Daddy and I needed.

So, without thinking twice, I got the Wii not just for Daddy but also for me. Once we arrived home, Daddy immediately assembled it and I started playing tennis. And oh boy, I was really sweating! It will sure be a big help since my work confines me at my desk for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Daddy will be needing it as well, since his vacation will last until March.

Daddy and I so love our new toy. As early as now, we're having so much fun playing the Wii Sports like boxing and tennis. We plan to get more Wii games and Wii accessories like the Wii Fit to further explore the Wii experience.

The Honest Scrap Award

Wow, I got an award today from one of my fellow mommy bloggers, Mommy Tetcha of Pensive Thoughts! It's the Honest Scrap award. Thanks Mommy Tetcha for this!

Anyway, here are the rules for the Honest Scrap award:

A. First, list 10 honest things about yourself - and make it interesting, even if you have to dig deep!
B. Pass the award on to 7 bloggers that you feel embody the spirit of the Honest Scrap.

Here is my list:
1. I'd rather do the laundry and polish the floor than fold my clothes. (weird, huh!)
2. I set the volume to the maximum level when I'm listening to MP3. (and Daddy scolds me about this)
3. They say I snore like a man, and yeah I believe them upon hearing what they recorded.
4. I easily panic when I misplace something, re: cellphone, wallet, jewelry, and even a simple document.
5. I cry like a river when Daddy logs out and hangs up on me.
6. I enjoy playing with Baby Gab, but not so much when I'm alone with her for 6 straight days.
7. If I win the lotto jackpot, the first thing that I'll do is donate some to charity. (Chos!)
8. I'm a procrastinator. See I hardly update my blog on a daily basis.
9. I'm a frustrated singer, but Daddy's friends say I do sing good. Hmmm...
10. I so hate people who are not only good at taking advantage of others but are also desperate to ruin other people's lives and relationships for their own benefit.

So there goes my list. Now, I’m giving this award to Lyn, Maidz, Jhelea, Niko, Nays, Watzy, and Jirl.

The Baby in Between Doing the Korean Pose

Hahaha! I wonder how Baby Gab learned to do this Korean a.k.a. Talie pose. Her Ninang Talie lives too far from our place, so there's no way she imitates that from her. And looked at how she carries that robe and piece of cloth on top of her head? Isn't she cute? Boy oh boy, my baby sure does grow so fast. I thought I'll see her like that when she reach her teenage years.

Anyway, gonna treasure this photo. It'll be a good laugh for her too when she sees this years from now.
